Paper Art Forms - My artistic practice explores the interplay between fragility and strength through the medium of paper sculpture. I am fundamentally drawn to paper's contradictory nature - a delicate, lightweight material capable of achieving structural integrity - as a direct metaphor for the subjects I depict, whether animal forms or human beings. This inherent duality allows me to embody both the recognizable strength of a given form and its delicate substance to suggest the resilience and vulnerability that defines existence.
Painting - Fusing tradition with innovation, my paintings integrate oil, acrylic, gouache, and collage into mixed-media works designed to collapse the separation between figurative and abstract genres. I explore the human form as it dissolves from detailed realism into ethereal abstraction, employing intentional contrasts of depth versus flatness to push the limits of contemporary painting conventions.
Scale Models - Decaying architecture has become another facet of my recent work. Often shrouded in mystery, abandoned buildings fall into a state of disrepair, which adds to their arresting appearance. I feel captivated by these structures and their power to elicit our connection to the past.
